For Jobseekers
Jobseekers registered with a regional employment centre (REC/RAV/ORP) can make an appointment with the BNF branch closest to them if their REC consultants agree.
Consulting
During consultations we assess your professional situation, review your CV, and develop a personal job application strategy. We also discuss the selection of a suitable BNF project placement.
Courses
BNF offers more than 20 job application courses and other courses to enhance professional competencies in German, French, and English.
Coaching
In addition, BNF offers individual coaching to clarify professional objectives and options, or develop new strategies for jobseeking.
Project participation
You can select a suitable BNF project in line with your personal job application strategy. A BNF project is a temporary placement lasting a maximum of six months in a public institution, a nonprofit organisation, or a private company.
Project placements offer the following opportunities:
-
gain new professional experience
-
improve your position in the labour market
-
acquire new competencies
-
expand your network
-
shorten gaps in your CV
-
document new competencies after BNF project participation with a letter of reference
BNF Expats (currently only in the Canton of Solothurn)
BNF supports jobseekers with an international background and offers consulting in German, French, and English. We focus on finding a personal orientation within the Swiss labour market. The service consists of a number of consultations within a time frame of three months and may address the following topics: personal professional situation, assessment of job application documents, identifying possible employment targets, and implementing an action plan.
Expats (international professionals currently in search of employment in Switzerland) may make use of BNF services following a directive from a regional employment centre (currently only in the Canton of Solothurn).
Other cantons interested in BNF services may contact BNF to discuss participation possibilities: Dr. Barbara Huse (barbara.huse@unibe.ch).
